Your smile makeover will begin with a detailed and personalised treatment plan, created by Dr Helen for you.
This will typically involve a range of cosmetic and restorative procedures, catering to your unique needs.
So, if your smile is impacting your confidence, making you self-conscious in your personal or professional life, then it may be time to book in for a consultation.
What are the typical problems faced?
A typical candidate for smile makeover will have some of the following concerns with their teeth:
- Crooked or missing teeth
- Stained or discoloured teeth
- Chipped or worn teeth
- Gummy smile
- Cracks, gaps and chips
- Teeth misalignment
- Teeth gaps
- Discoloured fillings
- Sagging or sunken appearance
- Wear and tear
What procedures may be involved?
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are thin, strong porcelain shells that can be applied over existing teeth. A procedure that can usually be completed in less than two weeks. They are first prepared for the procedure and then placed over an existing tooth. Veneers can dramatically improve the appearance of natural teeth and give you the smile makeover you always desired. If you’re concerned about discolouration, chips, misalignments, or the shape of your teeth, then veneers can offer a solution. They can also be used to close the gaps between your natural teeth. We recommend the highest quality, minimal reduction porcelain veneers over traditional, more destructive versions or options. This means that your natural enamel is preserved and veneers are fully reversible and offered at an affordable price.
Tooth Bonding
We use the finest cosmetic composite materials that are directly bonded to the teeth to replace old discoloured fillings, repair chipped or cracked teeth, or to recreate a more aesthetic shape and contour to the teeth. Bonding can improve the colour of the teeth and does not normally require any tooth to be shaved down beforehand.
Tooth reshaping involves recontouring teeth that are too long, pointy, or disproportionate to adjacent teeth.
Gum or Gingival contouring also known as periodontal plastic surgery is carried out to align the gum levels to a more ideal aesthetic contour and it can also be used to correct a gummy smile.
Dental implants can replace single or multiple missing teeth, be used to lock dentures into place, or permanently replace all of your teeth.
Tooth-coloured fillings: A direct restoration (meaning it is placed directly into a cavity by a dentist) – also known as a filling – is one of the most common ways to restore a tooth. A tooth coloured or composite filling will closely resemble the colour and shape of your natural tooth. Tooth-coloured fillings can also sometimes be used as a cost-effective alternative to a stronger crown to restore your tooth.
These are just some of the advanced cosmetic dentistry techniques available to make your smile transformation a reality.
The Cosmetic Dentistry Process
Our patients often come in with a picture of their favourite celebrity and tell us that they want to have a smile like them. Well, the truth is, now you can. Nature is not always perfect. They too have probably undergone a corrective procedure such as porcelain veneers, orthodontic treatment or ClearPath, white fillings, or resin bonding. Dr Helen recommends the highest quality, minimally invasive, natural-looking cosmetic procedures, and has an eye for perfection. To discuss possible solutions to your discoloured, misaligned, chipped, or worn teeth, please contact us for a consultation.
In order for you to feel comfortable and confident proceeding with total teeth replacement, Dr Helen provides all the information you require to put your mind at ease.
During your initial consultation, Dr Helen will examine your current condition and discuss your requirements and options. Together with planning, this is a crucial part of the process in achieving an outcome you desire.
First, we analyse your smile with digital photography. Additionally, Dr Helen creates a temporary mock-up of your teeth so that you can visualise the results based on the option you choose. The ultimate goal of creating the mock-up is to help you make the best decision, knowing that the outcome will be exactly what you desire from your smile makeover. We also have the latest software so you can see a visualisation of your results before deciding to proceed.
Are you ready to see your beautiful smile once again? Dr Helen can help restore your smile with a complete smile transformation and teeth replacement.

Do You Want Whiter Teeth?
Implants have a very high chance of success in a healthy patient who takes care of their general and dental health. There are, however, some factors that can compromise the successful placing of an implant. These include medical disease, excessive smoking or alcohol consumption and poor diet or dental hygiene.
There are two types of whitening treatments available: take-home and in-office. I usually recommend take-home whitening to our patients; I believe it is the most successful method with the most consistent results. About seven years ago, I used this method myself, with very satisfying results. Take a look at my smile on the sign outside our office when you’re next here.
You can learn more about whitening in the “Treatments” page of our website. If you’d like to discuss whether whitening is appropriate for you, please call us on 9510 5597.
4 Questions on Dental Veneers
I’ve heard of veneers without tooth reduction. Can anyone have them?
With the majority of cases, tooth reduction is not necessary for the placement of veneers. However, in certain situations, minimal tooth reduction will facilitate a more aesthetic outcome.
Are porcelain veneers permanent? Are they replaceable?
Porcelain veneers adhere firmly to the enamel of your teeth. With good maintenance and care, they rarely come loose and can serve you for many years before you need to consider having them replaced. Keep in mind, the benefit of no preparation veneers is that they are fully reversible.
Will they look natural?
Not all veneers are the same. You might’ve seen people who look like they have unnatural smiles. Manufacturing veneers is an intricate and time-consuming process. A skillfully crafted veneer will replicate all the details of nature, minimise decay, and preserve your tooth. Our top technician will craft your high-quality veneers, which can only be distinguished from natural teeth by a qualified professional and we offer them at an affordable price.
How long does it take?
It takes two to three appointments, two weeks apart, to make porcelain veneers.
