This service is available to anyone who wishes to enhance the look of their smile. This can range from simple alterations, through to a highly bespoke complete smile re-design.
The smile is first analysed with digital photography and converted into a trial of your smile that can then be reproduced in the mouth and amended to perfection, before the final result is created. With this way you can make sure you are completely happy with the desired changes and that we can make sure the changes are in complete harmony with your jaw and joints.
A combination of techniques such as veneers, whitening, straightening and gum re-contouring is used where possible to ensure ultimate aesthetics through a highly conservative approach.
If you would like to change anything about your smile from colour, shape or position of your teeth, then it is worth booking in for a smile design consultation with Dr Helen. At this appointment, your smile will be analysed by examination and digital photography. Dr Helen will then be able to advise you on the various approaches available to improve your smile.
A combination of the latest techniques using the most conservative methods are used to achieve optimum cosmetic results. In this way we are able to preserve tooth structure thereby increasing the longevity of your teeth and restorations, whilst at the same time achieving the finest cosmetic results.
Veneers can be produced in a variety of materials or brands. Some examples are Lumineers, Mac veneers, Da Vinci veneers, emax veneers and the list goes on and on. Veneers are made of ceramic or porcelain and can be made very thin so that minimal or no tooth reduction is necessary. Veneers are used to improve the colour, contour, surface lustre, shape and position of your teeth. After your smile consultation with Dr Helen, you will see a mock-up of your new smile in your mouth. Once you are completely happy, we will have the technician duplicate the result for the permanent veneers. In this way, you will have a predictable end result with your final veneers.
Bonding will involve using the finest cosmetic composite materials that are directly bonded to the teeth. This is done to either replace old discoloured fillings, repair chips and cracks or to recreate a more aesthetic shape and contour to the teeth. Bonding can improve the colour of the teeth and does not normally require any tooth to be removed beforehand.
Tooth reshaping involves recontouring teeth that are too long, pointy or disproportionate to adjacent teeth.
Gingival contouring also known as periodontal plastic surgery is carried out to align the gum levels to a more ideal aesthetic contour and it can also be used to correct a gummy smile.
