General Anaesthesia FAQ

Dr Helen’s Dental & Implant Studio offers general anaesthesia services in-house, meaning you don’t have to go to a private hospital to have sleep dentistry and Medicare rebates are available on the service.

Our general anaesthesia is administered by a certified anaesthetist and anaesthetic nurse.  Dr Helen and her team oversee your treatment while you are monitored by the anaesthetic team. It’s very safe and fully licensed.

The advantage of in-house anaesthesia is that it takes the stress off  you. By receiving care in an environment you’re already familiar with and with a team you know you can trust, it really is as easy as going to sleep and waking up with your dental treatment done and over with.

As with any general anaesthetic service, there is an additional cost to general anaesthesia. (Generally around $700/hour of service.) However, Medicare rebates anywhere from 1/3rd-2/3rd of the total cost depending on the length of your appointment.
